rubes has the kliese 'awesome' gene for sure! here is how he ingeniously 'fixed' his truck by himself i might add, scissors, tape and all!



we found avnew park near our house, it is REALLY neat, not quite finished yet but will be truly great when it is, has free bbqs and lots of fun stuff....

well i have been busy looking at other peoples blogs every day hoping there will be lots of pics for me to look at but uave been very lax in putting any up myself! in my defence, i have been very busy seeing as ihave now gone back to work, 3 shifts a week and mum and ruthie have been here (YAY) and i have also been organising jannahs baby shower, soooo now that i have a little time today i thought id catch up!!!!!

so wee zeke is getting so clever, he has liked to sit up on your lap for ages now and recently would sit there unassisted as long as you kinda proped him up with your legs, well last nigh, on the nice soft spungy surface of our bed, he sat, and sat and sat and sat!!! even on the floor he sat for a good minute or so but i certanily woldnt leave him there yet cos if he gets too figerous in his reaching or playing he falls over!!!!

1. remove the heavy plate, just about as big as yourself out of the fridge and lift it onto the bench which is over your head, get a small plate out of the cupboard and put ALL 3 pieces of cheesecake onto it....





this little secquence of events JUST happened.
i paid no attention to rubes going into the fridge cos i heard him saying " i want some 'bawberries' mum" i tell him, nah we're going to have dinner soon, and think he's gonna get some water cos he was talking about the berries in the freezer this is what happens next........

rubes said to me the other day, " mum come look his leg sticking out..."
he can REALLY talk now, every thing is "actually" and "i know", "get outta my way" "remember" "i do it" " whats the time?", "dont smack me"" i did it the other day...." " in a minute" and even yest morning when i told him off, "dont talk to me like that mum"!!! hmmmmm maybe it is better when they cant talk!!!

developments......

well on tuesday night unbeknowns to me jay saw zeke get up on all fours but i was rather excited to notice and photograph it on wednesday!

then last night rubes refused to wear a nappy to bed, he wanted undies and much to my surprise he actually made it thru the night dry, i didnt have to wash his bed today!!woohoooo!

who knows why or how or if we'll get a repeat performance any time soon but yay for rubes!

Anzac weekend camping

So we risked it again and went camping, it started raining as we drove out our driveway and im thinking, "you're kidding me, not again"! anyway we didnt single handedly break the drought again by going camping THIS weekend! thank goodness!

Actually we had a good time, the weather was pretty hot on sunday, and muggy, but yesturday was pretty lovely, more like the weather you'd expect at this time of the year.

The kids were CONSTANTLY dirty, REALLY dirty but they seemed to have a great time, except poor old kiasha had a cold which then seemed to turn into measles, i think (havn't talked to mel today to confirm that fact) so she was a little miserable at times!

Our campsite was conveniently right by some rather 'good' hills so us girls only had to sit and watch the goings on to feel like we were involved!!! Apart from not bringing enough water we didnt seemed to forget anything else major and the beauty of where we went was that there is a a town literally 10-15kms away if you need anything!
