boat trip!

so we took the boat out overnight as a kind of experiment to see if it would work with the kids and if we liked it and it we would want to do it again for longer......

so we did like it very much, except for the getting it in and out of the water and onto the trailer..... never mind, we lived thru it and are still happily married!!!

excuse all the pics of hte sun rise i have a thousand more than what i put on but i was up wELL before the sun was up this morning and consequently got very bored so put my rusty camera skills (or not) to the test... maybe time for a new camera. i wish!

hmmmm no doubt once ihave all the pics on here i'll think of something more to say about it but for now this is it.....

oh and im not really loving the still swaying motions going on in my head but i am looking forward to bed after a magic day on the water!

"look my garden and my 'popcorn' "

the corn is now as tall as rubes, here he is taking pics of it, and today VERY EXCITING we have found the first 'fluffies' from the first ear of corn, another round of photo taking!!!!

heres my cheeky little man

our boating adventure on the great logan river....

....which turned out in the most part to be a disaster untill we finally got on the water!

got up at 7am, kids awake, no sleeping in may as weel do something

packed up and on the road to get the boat plus a quick stop at maccas for the boys by 8am

boat fixed and location decided on ( not the open sea as there is a cyclone coming)10am

get to desired location and its still too windy change mind and reach new destination 1km from our house 10.30am

reuben jams fingers in pajero door 10.31am

put boat in water and keel rope snaps, boat is half on half off boat trailer 10.40am

fuss round and get boat out of water half on half off trailer 11am

'fix' keel rope and get back on water all organised and motering off 11.40am

.....phew.....


soooooo, rubes drove the boat, wouldnt do a poo in his nappy so had to use the boat toilet...zeke slept in various places, it rained on the way back a little..... then rubes went to walk in a 'little' puddle and sunk into thigh deep mud, wish id had the video on for that!!!

oh and before that the pics are just ones of the boys and we took rubes to the park to ride his bike the other afternoon.... sooo cute!

rubes finally learnt to ride his bike properly today! wow! excuse the bare bottom but we are not always apporpriatly dressed when i get out the camera! and we were enjoying our small allotment of sunshine before it started raining AGAIN!!!!!!
